POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an attempted theft from a lorry parked at Solstice Services Lorry Park on the A303.

The incident happened just after 1am on Thursday, March 20 when a man climbed onto the lorry and tried to remove lights from the back of the cab.

He ran off without taking anything.

He is described as white, about 25 years old, and was wearing a black, long-sleeved, hooded top and blue jeans. Two youths on bikes were seen the previous evening at around 9pm at the back of the Co-op store.

One of the youths is described as a white male, aged 14 or 15 years, scruffy straight fair hair, wearing a dark jacket with long padded sleeves and a red hood with a motif or writing on the left arm.

PC Jeanette Brownsea would like to speak to these youths and anyone else who might have information.
