A PLANNING application to demolish a bungalow to make way for three terraced houses in Fordingbridge has been given the thumbs down by the town council.
Councillors felt that the development for the site on the corner of Station Road and Jubilee Road was an overdevelopment and an urban design in a country environment.
They said parking was also “likely to be an issue” with cars exiting from the garage area onto the narrow Jubilee Road.
The Fordingbridge Society objected to the plan as they considered it was out of character with neighbouring properties. New Forest District Council will decide the plan in due course.
