THE Wiltshire and Swindon Police and Crime Panel is looking to recruit a new independent co-opted member.

Panel members play a key role in holding the Police and Crime Commissioner to account for the delivery of his police and crime plan. and support him in that work.

Panel members, on average, work one day a month, which includes preparation time. They will be expected to attend about six public meetings a year, held throughout the county.

The chairman of the Wiltshire Police and Crime Panel, Richard Britton, said: “This is a great opportunity for someone to play a vital part in the important work we do on behalf of the people of Wiltshire and Swindon.

We hope to be able to reflect the breadth of communities in Wiltshire in filling this challenging role.”
