FOOTBALL mad adults who love to play but haven’t got time to commit to a club are being invited to drop by for a weekly kickabout at Wiltshire leisure centres this summer.

Wiltshire County FA and Wiltshire Council are joining forces to deliver the FA Mars Just Play centres for adults across the county.

The Just Play kickabout programme will be run at Amesbury, Tidworth and Tisbury leisure centres from this month. People can turn up in groups or as individuals to play a match for an hour. There are sessions for men, women and the small sided mixed game Futsal.

Tim Hall, football development officer at Wiltshire County FA, said: “We are fully aware that the commitment of playing affiliated football is becoming more of a barrier to participants, and the creation of the casual kickabouts will offer those participants the chance to play the game again. We encourage all people whether they have played the game before or wish to start playing the game to get along to one of the kickabout sessions.”

For further information on the Mars Just Play Kickabout sessions contact Mr Hall on 01793 486047 or email tim.hall@wiltshirefa.com.

The sessions will run at Amesbury sports centre on Sundays, from April 27 at 4pm to 5pm for futsal, Tidworth Leisure Centre on Fridays from April 15 at 6pm to 7pm (men’s) and Tisbury sports centre on Mondays from April 14 at 5pm to 6pm (men’s).

Women’s football will take place in Devizes on Sundays from 6pm to 7pm starting on April 27.
