Easter events for young people

ATHLETICS, crafts, free swimming and basketball will be available for young people to take part in during the Easter holidays.

Children under the age of 16 will be able to swim for free from Monday, April 7 to Thursday April 17 at their local Wiltshire Council-run leisure centre. And holiday camps in basketball and athletics are being provided by the council’s sports development team.

Both camps are open to eight to 16-year-olds and run from 10am to 3pm. StarTrack Athletics takes place at Salisbury Athletics Track from April 7 to 9. For more information on the camps and athletics go to wiltshire.gov.uk/sportholidayactivites.

The Camp Activate holiday programme is also running throughout the holidays at Five Rivers, Tidworth and Amesbury leisure centres.

Tidworth Library will be celebrating 25 years of Elmer the Elephant with elephant stories, songs and crafts on Monday, April 14 at 2pm.

And Elmer will also be guest of honour at Amesbury Library on Tuesday, April 15 at 2pm.
