COMPLAINTS have been made about the amount of litter in Amesbury, with calls for new bins to be installed in the town.
The problem is particularly bad around Solstice Park and the roads leading into the town centre.
Amesbury town councillors heard the manager of the new McDonald’s restaurant at Solstice Park has been informed and has increased the number of staff dealing with litter.
Councillors asked if the police could take action if officers caught people dropping litter, and were told it is an offence.
They resolved to monitor the situation and look into installing more bins.
