PEOPLE in Salisbury interested in learning more about playing musical instruments can take part in National Learn to Play Day on Saturday.

Musicroom Salisbury, in Catherine Street, is inviting people of all musical skill levels to go into the shop and learn something new.

Learn to Play Day is an annual event hosted by music charity, Music for All, which invites members of the public to have a free taster lesson on a musical instrument of their choice.

Local teachers will be going to the store specially to host workshops, and in Salisbury they will primarily be focusing on guitar, ukulele and clarinet.

Manager Marc Hankins said: “The team are eagerly awaiting this year’s Learn to Play Day as it allows us to give our customers the opportunity to widen their musical skills. This event will give people the chance to get a taste of the instruments they have always wanted to play, free of charge. It’s a great opportunity and experience for those involved so come along and try something new.”

Lessons will take place between 10am and 4pm and can be booked in advance by calling the store on 01722 322278.
