THE second Durrington triathlon in partnership with Wiltshire Council in aid of Lucy’s Days Out will be held next month.
The event will be held at Durrington Swimming and Fitness Centre on Sunday, June 8, with competitors tackling a 400m swim, 18km bike ride and a 5km run to end.
It is being sponsored by Heritage of Salisbury and Mike Donnelly from Heritage, who will be taking part in the event, and Julie Page from Lucy’s Day’s Out recently visited the pool where Mr Donnelly gave her a cheque from Heritage for £50.
He also presented a further cheque to No Limits Fitness for £150.
Event organiser Susan Sumber said: “The event was a great success last year and completely sold out. For many of the participants it was their first triathlon but the ethos of the events kept it friendly, fun and encouraged people to have a go.”
