New town mayor for Verwood

VERWOOD Town Council has elected its mayor for the next year.

Pat Morrow is chairman of the Verwood area 50-Plus Forum and lead of the Verwood and Three Legged Cross Dementia Friendly Committee.

She is also a member of Dorset’s Age Partnership and a governor at Hillside First School.

On the council she chairs the amenities committee and the Verwood Recreation Ground trust. She is also a police liaison councillor and a highways liaison, too.

Her deputy Sandra Grove is chairman of the planning committee, and is the council’s representative for the CAB and Bournemouth Airport. She is also a governor at Hillside and is treasurer of the town’s twinning association.
