DOGS and their owners are being invited to a family fun show at Hudson’s Field in Salisbury next Sunday, May 11.

Classes will cost £1 per dog to enter and range from waggiest tail to the cutest puppy, and best child handler to the dog that looks most like its owner.

There will also be a fancy dress class for those feeling creative.

Dog wardens from Wiltshire Council will be offering free microchipping, and there will be stalls selling dog treats, products and services, as well as light refreshments.

The free event, from 11am to 3pm, aims to highlight Salisbury City Council’s Bag It and Bin It campaign, which encourages dog owners to bag dogs’ mess and put it in any public litter bin.

Stickers are displayed on many bins in the city to remind dog owners.

Limited parking is available but walking to the event is encouraged and all dogs should be kept on leads.

To book a microchipping slot in advance, contact Salisbury Information Centre on 01722 342860.
