POLICE are appealing for information following the theft of fuel from a garage in Salisbury.

A man filled up a vehicle with £82 worth of fuel at Four Acres garage in London Road just after 1am on April 14 before leaving without paying.

The vehicle was displaying stolen number plates which had been taken from a car in Alderbury a short time earlier.

Officers have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the offence.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC James Brown at Salisbury Police Station on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
