A SIXTH Form student from Sarum Academy has won a place at the Universities Summer School of Eton College.

The school aims to bring highly-motivated and academically ambitious boys and girls together to benefit from Eton’s academic tuition and facilities.

It is open to boys and girls who attend maintained schools throughout the UK and who are at the end of their first year in the Sixth Form and about to begin their final year of schooling.

Megan, who achieved outstanding results at GCSE, with 8 A* and 8 A grades, and is now studying for maths, psychology and English literature A-levels as well as BTEC performing arts, said: “This is a really exciting opportunity and I'm looking forward to spending time learning key skills to help me in the future.”

Gareth Jones, deputy director of Sarum Academy Sixth Form, said: “Megan is an exceptional pupil who has worked hard to deserve this opportunity. We are all very proud of her.”
