POTENTIAL motorcycle riders got some training about how to keep themselves safe on the road at a free event held by the Salisbury Motorcycle and Light Car Club.

The event at Salisbury Livestock Market on April 27 saw people get some expert tuition, and about 75 per cent of those who went along were women.

The training is provided annually by A1 Roadcraft and is funded by the club.

Ian Futcher, of Salisbury Motorcycle and Light Car Club, said: “The objective of the training day is to provide an opportunity for anyone to come along and try for themselves what it is like to ride a bike and at the same time get some expert advice on how to get started or advancing to the next stage.”
