A VILLAGE post office is to have a complete revamp and nearly double its hours of opening next month.
St Ives Post Office will close for the refurbishment at 12.30pm on June 7 and reopen at 1pm on June 16. An open-plan retail environment is promised, along with 72 hours a week opening. The new branch will be open Monday to Saturday from 6.30am until 5.30pm, and Sunday from 6.30am until 1pm.
The nearest alternative post offices during the revamp are Ringwood Post Office in Martin’s News at 13 Southampton Road, Ringwood, and Poulner Post Office, 2 Butlers Lane.
