Jo Broom
A NEW mayor is being brought in today in Salisbury.
Jo Broom is the mayor for the next year and officially takes over from Penny Brown today.
The mayor-making ceremony is taking place at St Thomas’s Church now and the civic party will then take part in a procession to the Guildhall for a private reception.
The procession will go from the church at 12.45pm along Silver Street, Minster Street, Blue Boar Row and back to the Guildhall.
There will be traffic delays in the centre of the city while the procession takes place.
