TAKE a trip back to the 15th century at Old Sarum this weekend and watch brave knights do battle.
The Knights’ Tournament, which is on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday from 11am to 5pm, will see four of the realm’s finest medieval knights compete with bow, sword and club. Visitors can cheer on their champion and visit the knights’ encampment to enjoy the sights and sounds of medieval life.
The day will end in style as the four teams compete in a Grand Melée – a contest of skill and treachery.
Old Sarum’s own jester, Peterkin, will also be delighting the crowds, as well as roving musicians, a storyteller and junior jousting for any budding knights.
