A SALISBURY care home is inviting budding photographers to capture a day in the life of the home to celebrate National Care Home Open Day next month.

A £200 prize is on offer to the most talented snapper who can tell the story of life at Salisbury Manor, Wilton Road. Residents at the home will be involved in the judging and will chose the photo that best encapsulates the ethos of the home.

Home manager Claire Lousteau said: “One our core values is that we recognise and celebrate the tiny details about our residents lives, so I’m looking forward to seeing how the competition entries can demonstrate that.

“I think the National Care Home Open Day campaign is a brilliant idea. I want everyone to feel that they can drop by and meet our wonderful residents.

"This is a place where people continue to enjoy their lives and create new memories and what better way to do that than through photographs.”

The photography competition will take place Friday, June 20 from 10.30am until 4.30pm.
