AN Adventure weekend saw more than 200 Brownies from Salisbury take part in a county celebration marking the centenary of their movement with a sleep out at Knook camp.
Waving colourful streamers and playing homemade instruments, they joined 600 fellow Brownies in a vast opening street parade led by a samba band and escorted by the Royal British Legion Bikers.
They then enjoyed a festival of fun, with climbing, inflatables and circus skills.
The emergency services came along and the girls had the chance to try out fire hoses, monitor their heart rates in the back of an ambulance and meet police dogs.
And they found out all about birds of prey, snakes, owls and many other animals.
Cookery challenges provided them with their midnight treat to finish off the event in style.
