Environmental family fun

Salisbury Journal: Environmental family fun Environmental family fun

WILDLIFE, cycling, walking and energy saving were all part of an environmental family fun day on Saturday.

Salisbury Green Fair was held at Harnham Recreation Ground and in the church hall and included the chance to become a wildlife detective in Middle Street Meadow or join a guided walk on Harnham Slope.

People were able to bring along their bicycles for a free MOT and join a ride to Broad Chalke and there was a marquee full of stalls with information on topics such as how to save energy and reduce your bills and carbon footprint.

There were Fair Trade goods for sale as well as tea, coffee and homemade cakes and a book swap stall.

The event was organised by South Wiltshire Agenda 21, Wiltshire Wildlife Trust and Salisbury Quakers.
