UNISON stalwart Mark Wareham has been chosen to represent about 28,000 union members in the south as he was elected to the union’s health service group executive.
Mr Wareham, who is senior UNISON steward at Salisbury District Hospital and branch secretary of the Salisbury Health branch, received 1,656 members’ votes, beating his rival Roger Davey, who got 814.
