LEADEN Hall School pupils got a chance to try out what it might be like to be a firefighter on a visit to see Blue Watch at Salisbury Fire Station.

The nursery class children were shown around the fire station, looked at the fireman’s pole and tried on some helmets. They got to sit in a fire truck, go up in the crane and were even able to hold the hose and spray some water.

A spokesman for the school said: “They had a fantastic time, learned about a very worthwhile job and picked up a few fire safety tips as well.”
