LABOUR is launching its general election campaign in Salisbury on Friday.

The party’s candidate is Tom Corbin, who is also a city councillor.

There will be two guest speakers at the event, at the Red Lion at 7pm.

Simon Weller is national organiser and second-in-command of the train drivers’ union ASLEF, of which Mr Corbin is an active member.

Mr Weller also sits on the TUC General Council.

Also there will be Salisbury’s Clare Moody, celebrating her recent election as an MEP.

Ms Moody is a Unite union organiser and activist, and worked in Downing Street during Gordon Brown’s tenure at No.10.
