VISITORS to the Moors Valley Country Park and Forest will be bumping into The Gruffalo.
A giant wooden sculpture of the literary favourite has been unveiled at the park by the Forestry Commission to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the character created by children’s author Julia Donaldson.
Andrew Norris, Forestry Commission recreation manager, said: “We are delighted to help to bring the story to life and celebrate the anniversary in true Gruffalo style.”
The monster himself will be at the park on Friday, July 11. For details see www.forestry.gov.uk/gruffalo.
