SALISBURY’S Labour party got its election campaign under way with a launch event at the Red Lion Hotel in Salisbury on Friday.
Prospective parliamentary candidate Tom Corbin met supporters and outlined some of his plans ahead of next year’s General Election.
He was joined by Anne Rutter from the Salisbury branch of the Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Fireman and Claire Moody, who was recently elected MEP for the south west and Gibraltar.
Mr Corbin, who is a Salisbury city councillor alongside his wife Caroline, said the event was a good opportunity to meet and greet supporters before election fever hits next spring.
