PEOPLE in Mere enjoyed a fun fete with a host of stalls.
The fete at St Michael’s Church was opened by ‘Mary Poppins’ Anne Jefferies and included cake stalls, a coconut shy and ‘pick a lolly’.
The tombola proved very successful, with lots of bottles up for grabs, and there was also teddy bear parachuting from the church tower for £1 to raise money for the Mere branch of Cancer Research UK.
All other proceeds went to the church.
