Not replacing executives will save council money
NOT replacing two recently-departed executives will save almost a quarter of a million pounds, says Wiltshire Council.
Mark Stone, programme director for the council’s transformation programme, who oversaw the recent renovation of County Hall, will leave the council on July 11, while head of the Campus Project Lucy Murray-Brown is joining Bristol Council on secondment.
Their work will be taken on by the council’s three corporate directors, Carlton Brand, Maggie Rae and Carolyn Godfrey.
In a statement to council staff they said: “We would like to reassure you that the transformation programme including our campus delivery is a key area of work for the organisation and as such will be co-led by the three corporate directors.
