THIEVES have left an elderly couple distraught after repeatedly stealing plants from their garden.
About 40 plants have been taken from the garden, in Larkhill Road, Durrington over four or five occasions over the past two months.
Police Community Beat Manager PC Jayne Wilby said: “The garden is the elderly couple's pride and joy and they are distraught that someone is repeatedly stealing the plants and ruining their hard work.
"They are now reluctant to replace the flowers again for fear of them being stolen. We need the help of local residents to identify those responsible and put a stop to this unacceptable behaviour.”
Anyone with information regarding those responsible is asked to contact PC Wilby at Amesbury Police Station on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
