WALKERS can now sign up for the third annual House 2 House fundraising event.

The walk, taking place on September 13, is from Naomi House children’s hospice in Sutton Scotney, near Winchester, to Tedworth House recovery centre in Tidworth.

The event was started by Nick Butt, managing director of Moores Cleaning.

Both organisations are clients and Mr Butt felt he wanted hold a fundraising event to benefit them.

Thirty walkers were expected at the first event but 130 people ended up taking part.

“It is a great family event with a wide range of ages taking part,” said Mr Butt. “There are also three distances to choose from so you can do either four, nine or 20 miles. We also have some great support by local companies with the White Hart in Andover supplying the halfway stop and then a barbecue at Tedworth House.”
