THE West End provided the inspiration for a Dance Evening at Avon Valley College in Durrington on Thursday and Friday.
The event was the culmination of lots of dance work at the school and with local infant, junior and primary schools.
Primary school children from Netheravon, Larkhill, Durrington Infant and Kiwi schools have been taking part in dance workshops.
Year 12 dance students have been choreographing and teaching their own dances through clubs for younger children, and took part in workshops led by professional dance teachers from Swindon and London.
Year 13 students Ryan Kilbirn and Ben Churchill worked hard behind the scenes and art student Matthew Lawless designed the backdrop.
A spokesman for the school said: “The overall show was fantastic, the students had rehearsed so hard, the costumes were bright and colourful and the lighting enhanced the performances.”
