RINGWOOD is gearing up for the British Pedal Car Grand Prix on Sunday, July 13.

Some 35 teams will be taking part in the two-hour sprint race around the town.

This year’s favourites are defending champions New Milton Health and Leisure, led by Rob Mangles.

Christchurch Bicycle Club are drawing on the thousands of training miles that they have made to make them an equal threat along with the Royce team.

A team of Ringwood firefighters have turned their car into a mini fire engine with help from local firm, Doughty Engineering.

A Historic Formula 5000 car will lead the parade lap at 1.20pm and the race starts at 2pm.
