CHILDREN at Chilmark Primary School have been pedalling their way to cycling proficiency certificates.
They completed the first two levels of the Bikeability award, which shows they have met the government-approved national standard for cycle training.
For the first level, they were taught in a traffic-free environment, before continuing their training on quiet roads.
Headteacher Karen Kearney said: “It is so important for young cyclists have the opportunity to develop their road awareness.
“They are getting a lot more enjoyment out of cycling, and their confidence has increased enormously.”
