TWO MOTORCYCLISTS were taken to hospital after a crash on the A30 at Firsdown on Saturday afternoon.

At 3.35pm a black motorcycle and a red Ford Ka collided at the Firs Road junction.

The 61-year-old motorcycle rider was taken to Southampton General Hospital with what police describe as “life changing injuries”.

His 63-year-old pillion passenger suffered minor injuries and was also taken to hospital.

The 21-year-old Ka driver was uninjured.

The road was shut for two hours while the emergency services attended.
