Civic Society award scheme to recognise renovation

First published in News by

THIS year’s Salisbury Civic Society Awards scheme will recognise outstanding work to existing buildings in south Wiltshire.

The awards will be open to projects completed over the past two years, but not to new buildings, which will be the subject of next year’s scheme.

It will include the repair, renovation or refurbishment of existing buildings, the finding of new uses for buildings which have become redundant, improvements to the setting of buildings through landscaping, street enhancements or other work, or anything that contributes visually to individual buildings or built-up areas within the area.

The society welcomes nominations from owners or others connected with eligible work, but is also keen to hear from those with no particular connection to a building but who feel that work to it has made a real change for the better.

Contact Richard Deane on 01722 330170, before August 15.
