STAFF and children of Fordingbridge Infant School dressed up to commemorate the start of the First World War.

The school participated in the St Mary's Church festival and viewed the village that had been constructed within the church. The children had contributed to this event by making poppies, leaves and butterflies which were exhibited in the church.

The day ended with a 'Great British Get Together' with tea, buns and traditional games and stalls.

All the children were given a commemorative pin badge provided by the Friends of Fordingbridge Infant School.
