FONTHILL Park Cricket Club hosted a blood pressure testing event on Saturday and raised £600 for the Stoke Association.
Last year club member and regular umpire Ian McNeill suffered a stroke and is still recovering.
His illness promoted club chairman Eric Tracey, who is also a trustee of the Stroke Association, to set up the blood pressure testing session to coincide with the club’s annual International XI v FPCC match.
About 30 people had their blood pressure tested at the event.
