PUPILS from Old Sarum Primary School were selling their home-grown produce outside Waitrose last Wednesday.
Waitrose supermarket has been giving out gardening boxes to primary schools. The project lasted several months, and the school used the Old Sarum Community Garden as their allotment.
Amanda Setchfield, from the school, said: “It was a fantastic day; the public were very supportive and curious about what the children have been doing. Growing the plants was really quite amusing, because, in the heat, the children have been carrying water bottles over to the garden every day to water the plants.”
The sale raised £63 for Lucy’s Days Out.
