ABOUT 400 people flocked to Rockbourne for the first SausageFest this weekend.
The festival at Green Acres Farm had more than 25 acts performing on two stages with other activities like a silent disco and a pub quiz on offer.
Acts who performed included Funke and the Two Tone Baby, Gaz Brookfield, Captain Accident, The Intercepteurs and Lyrical Monsoon.
The festival idea came from one of the organiser’s stag do. Robb Blake’s send off was such a success, those involved decided it would make a great public festival.
Co-organiser Thom Belk said: “The event was a great success and planning is already underway for next year, with an announcement set for a few weeks’ time in the Salisbury Journal.
“We would like to thank all the acts who performed, all of those who helped with the planning and delivery of the event, but most importantly a massive thanks to all who attended and enjoyed the event and respected the farm by being tidy and clearing up after themselves.”
