A PETITION calling for an end to the bombing in Gaza collected 350 signatures in Salisbury on Saturday.
Members of Sarum Concern for Israel/Palestine were collecting signatures outside the Guildhall calling on the Government to put pressure on the Israeli Government to stop the bombardment of Gaza.
So far more than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed and at least 40 Israeli soldiers during the attacks and many people are calling for a ceasefire.
The Sarum Group are sending their petition to Salisbury MP John Glen, but as well as signatures from his constituents they also collected signatures from Europeans and even someone from Australia.
They collected signatures for two-and-ahalf hours and paused at 11am and noon to pray for peace and justice.
The group thank everyone who signed the petition and local traders who supplied coffee.
More events are being planned for the World Week for Peace in Palestine/Israel on September 21 to 27.
