Smartphone app for bus passengers

First published in News by , Reporter

BUS timetabling has entered the 21st century in Salisbury with the launch of a new smartphone app that will give travellers real time travel information.

The service was launched by Salisbury Reds bus company on Saturday at Guildhall Square and other local bus stops in the area.

Nikki Honer, Salisbury Reds communications manager, said: “We know there is great demand for up-to-the-minute travel information, making it easier than ever for our customers to plan their journeys across the city.”

The project is funded by Wiltshire Council through the Department for Transport’s Better Bus Area Fund, which aims to improve local transport and encourage more people to use buses.
