A PRE-CONSULTATION on car parking charges and policies in Salisbury has been completed ahead of a full public consultation that begins in October.
The project board, which is chaired by Cllr John Thomson, carried out a scoping exercise to gauge the opinions and priorities of residents, parish councils and other stakeholders.
Car parking charges have caused strong feelings in Salisbury where the £7.40 daily charge is higher than elsewhere in the county.
In 2011 The Journal successfully campaigned for the reintroduction of a one-hour parking charge after the council scrapped it.
The new paper will set out what stakeholders want from car parking in the city.
