WINTERBOURNE Stoke will have a new multi-play area in its park thanks to the Big Lottery Fund.
The lottery is giving the parish council £10,000 towards a multi-play unit and safety surface in Meadow View Park.
The whole projects costs more than £20,000 and funding has also come from Amesbury area board and the parish council.
Ian West, chairman of the parish council, said: “We are delighted our bid has been successful and proves that good cause money from the National Lottery can make things happen in small villages as well as large communities.”
The local community has put on lots of events to help raise funds too and money is being saved by villagers offering their time and skills to help the project.
Tony Zacks-Mcgoldrick from the village events committee said they are donating £1,000 towards additional equipment after children in the village completed a survey asking for their views. The committee will donate the money to the parish council to purchase a spinner bowl.
The project is expected to be finished by the end of October.
