AFTER a three-year run in London’s West End, audiences can rock out to Rock of Ages The Musical at Southampton’s Mayflower next week.

The show is a celebration of classic 80s rock culture and tells the story of a small town girl and a big city rocker falling in love to the greatest songs of the decade.

It features classic songs like We Built This City, The Final Countdown, I Wanna Know What Love Is and Don’t Stop Believin’ and stars Ben Richards as rock god Stacee Jaxx and Noel Sullivan as Drew Boley.

Richards is well-known for his TV work in Footballers’ Wives, The Bill and Holby City and has appeared on stage in Guys and Dolls, Saturday Night Fever and The Full Monty.

Former Hear’say singer Noel Sullivan has been making a name for himself in musical theatre appearing in Priscilla Queen of the Desert, We Will Rock You and Grease in the West End.

Following the success of the musical, it was made into a star-studded film in 2012 with big names including Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, Russell Brand and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Rock of Ages will be at the Mayflower from Tuesday until Saturday.

Tickets are available from the box office on 02380 711811 or online at mayflower.org.uk.
