POLICE are appealing for information after a pedestrian was knocked over by a car in a hit and run incident.

The pedestrian, a 56-year-old local man, was hit by a gold coloured car travelling north on Coombe Road towards Salisbury at about 2.45pm on August 29.

The crash happened just as the car was approaching a set of traffic lights.

The man was knocked to the ground and he sustained a cut to his head, which he received treatment for at Salisbury District Hospital, but he was not seriously hurt.
