POLICE are appealing for information after a woman was assaulted in Salisbury on Saturday night.
A 22-year-old woman from London was with her brother in New Street at about midnight when she was inappropriately touched by an unknown man.
The suspect had been in a group with about six or seven men aged in their late 20s to early 30s, all dressed in light-coloured shirts and jeans.
The group was seen to walk away in the direction of Catherine Street.
PC Ben Brewster said: “I have great sympathy with this young lady, it was a very upsetting end to her evening and something that is very uncommon in Salisbury.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Brewster on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
