A CARE home in Salisbury is holding a dog show tomorrow to celebrate its first birthday.
Dog lovers are invited to Salisbury Manor care home to enter their four-legged friends into a variety of different categories including the most handsome, cutest, and best in show.
The show will be judged by representatives from the Dogs Trust, Hampshire Greyhound Rescue and Barbara Griffiths, a former breeder of Crufts champions and now a resident at the home.
The anniversary celebrations will also include a talk about dog nutrition from Pets At Home, a barbecue, live music, stalls and a tombola.
Home manager Claire Lousteau said: “It’s been a fantastic first year for us at Salisbury Manor and we wanted to thank everyone who has supported us so far by organising this celebration.
“I’m looking forward to seeing all the entries to the show.
“Dogs can be such wonderful and loving companions for older people, so I’m sure the residents will thoroughly enjoy the day.”
The show is at the home in Wilton Road from 2pm to 4pm.
