ANYONE who has ever fancied working in radio can find out more at Castledown Radio’s recruitment open evening on Tuesday, September 30 from 7pm to 9pm.

The community radio station is based at The Wellington Academy campus in Ludgershall and is looking for more volunteers.

Presenters support local businesses, charities, schools and groups by attending local events with the Really Red Radio Roadshow, running discos and promoting community events on air.

Experience is not essential as training will be provided and people can give as much or little time as they can spare.

The open evening will give people the chance to have a go on air using the station’s equipment and learn more about the roles available including sound engineers, IT support, reporters, administration, PR and communications and fundraising.

Anyone unable to attend the open evening should visit castledownradio.

info and fill in the volunteering form.

You can listen to Castledown Radio on 104.7FM in the Tidworth area or via listen live on the website.
