HAMPSHIRE County Council has launched an online service for parents, professionals and young people to find out about services and support for children and young people up to the age of 25, who have special educational needs or who are disabled (SEND).
The ‘Local Offer’ website – hantslocaloffer.info – has been co-produced with parents/carers, young people and professionals. Parent Voice is also providing telephone support on 0300 303 8603. Upcoming changes to SEND provision include the replacement of special educational needs statements and post-16 section 139a Moving on Plans with joined up education, health and care plans for children and young people, from birth to 25. Schools will also use a single category system for tracking the progress of children who need extra interventions.
