Firefighters tackle blaze
SOME 50 firefighters battled a blaze at a house in Ringwood last Wednesday night.
Crews from Hampshire and Dorset were drafted in to fight the flames at a four-bedroom detached house in Pelican Mead in Poulner, just after 10pm.
They spent more than three hours extinguishing the flames, which completely destroyed the roof and left 50 per cent of the first floor damaged by fire.
The ground floor of the house also suffered smoke and water damage. An investigation has been launched into the cause of the fire.
