HUNDREDS of pupils across Dorset and the New Forest played their part in a heroic mission to help Britain’s children.
With a superhero theme, this year the BBC’s Children in Need has been fundraising to beat last year’s UK total of £49.6 million.
The money raised will support more than 2,500 British projects.
Pupils and teachers at Sixpenny Handley First School dressed up as their favourite characters from Chewbacca to Cinderella, while pupils at Hillside Community First School in Verwood came to school wearing lots of spots.
Each class at Hillside covered Pudsey’s name with money and raised £300.
