A DAD who was struck in the head by a stray firework at Salisbury’s ill-fated Christmas light switch-on has described the "madness" of his ordeal.
Brett Dyer, from Whiteparish, suffered a chemical burn to his scalp when part of a firework landed on him as he shielded his baby daughter from the falling debris.
“It was like someone had just thrown a bomb into the middle of the crowd and things were just going of left right and centre,” he said.
